Many people will have a disability at some stage of their lives.
Percentage of 15-24 year olds with a disability = 9%
65-69 = 40%
Over 80 = 72%.

Disability is a normal expression of the diversity of human life. There are 4 million people in Australia with a disability, which would be more than the number of people with blue eyes!
But people with blue eyes are not treated like they cannot participate in everyday community life. The truth of the matter is that it is up to us to change our thinking about what people with a disability CAN do, not what they can't.
